Тараканівський форт. Tarakanivskyy fort

Тараканівський форт було збудовано в другій половині 19 століття для захисту західних кордонів Російської імперії від Австрійської імперії. Розташований неподалік від м. Дубно, форт мав на меті не допустити просування вглиб імперії австрійських військ. Проте з початком 1 Світової війни, загони Російської імперії без бою відступили з нього. Влітку 1916 року розпочалась боротьба за форт, внаслідок якої в стінах укріплень було вбито кілька сотень австрійських військових.
Під час російсько-польської війни 1920 року форт встояв під натиском російських військ. З того часу укріплення не мали військового значення, а за часів радянської влади у форті намагались створити склад харчової продукції та склад запчастин, проте реалізувати ці проекти не вдалося.



Tarakanivskyy fort was built in the second half of the 19th century to protect the western borders of the Russian Empire from the Austrian Empire. Is located near the city Dubno. Fort was intended to prevent the attack of Austrian empire troops. However, with the start of World War 1, Russian empire troops retreated without a fight from it. In the summer of 1916 began a battle at the fort, which ended with the horrible result. Hundreds Austrian soldiers were killed in the walls of fortifications .

During the Russo-Polish War of 1920 fort withstood the onslaught of Russian troops. Since then, fortification had no military value, and during the Soviet era at Fort tried to create the composition of food products and spare parts warehouse, but to implement these projects failed.





Луцький замок. Lutsk Castle

Луцький замок або замок Любарта є одним з найстаріших замків України та ознакою колишньої величі Луцька. Інша назва замку пов'язана з особою литовського князя Любарта, котрий переніс столицю Галицько-Волинського князівства до Луцька, і розпочав реконструкцію та відбудову замку. Великої розбудови зазнав Луцьк, в тому числі й замок за часів правління литовського князя Вітовта.
Хоч будівництво замку розпочалось у 1350-ті, укріплення на тій території існували ще з 10 століття.
До 18 століття замок лишався важливим центром політичного життя краю. Так, у 1429 році, у князівському палаці проходив з'їзд європейських монархів, на якому розглядався ряд важливих міждержавних питань, а у 1595 році замок захопили загони одного з ватажків козацько-селянських повстань кінця 16 століття Северина Наливайка.
З 18 століття замок почав втрачати свої важливі функції. Занедбання замку спричинило його часткове руйнування. Проте з часом Верхній замок поступово відновлювали, а надто впродовж 20 століття, коли і польська, а згодом і радянська влади докладали зусиль для реставрації історичної споруди.
На території замку розташований новозбудований музей книги, картинна галерея, музей дзвонів. В центрі замку, під саркофагом, проводяться археологічні роботи з дослідження залишків давньої церкви Івана Богослова.
Зараз Луцький замок є всесвітньовідомим туристичним об'єктом, котрий приваблює бажаючих поринути у незабутню атмосферу середньовіччя.




Lutsk Castle or Castle of Lubart is one of the oldest Ukrainian castles and sign of former greatness of Lutsk. Another name linked with the name of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Lubart, who moved the capital of Galicia-Volyn principality to Lutsk, and began the reconstruction and rebuilding of the castle. Also the castle was under reconstruction during the reign of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Vytautas.

Although the construction of the castle began in the 1350s, buildings on the territory were existed since the 10th century.

By the 18th century the castle remained an important center of political life. So, in 1429, the princely palace held meeting of European monarchs, which considered a number of important international issues, and in 1595 the castle was captured by troops of one of the leaders of Cossack and peasant rebellions of the 16th century Severin Nalivayko.

Since the 18th century the castle began to lose its important functions. Neglect of the castle caused its partial destruction. However, over time the castle gradually restored, especially during the 20th century, when and Polish, and later the Soviet government were worked for the restoration of historic buildings.

At the castle is located newly built museum of books, art gallery, museum of bells. In the center of the castle under the sarcophagus, conducted archaeological work on the study of Ancient Church of John the Theologian.

Now Lutsk castle is a world famous tourist destination, which attracts those who want to plunge into an unforgettable atmosphere of the Middle Ages.
