23. Bloodless blood test
Kharkiv scientist Anatoly Malykhin figured out how to make blood test bloodless. He created a device: five sensors which are attached to certain parts of the body, and then displayed on a computer screen 131 health indicators. The device is widely used by doctors in China, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Egypt and Mexico.
24. X-ray
Ukrainian Ivan Puliui, 14 years before German Wilhelm Roentgen, constructed a tube, which later became the prototype of modern X-ray machines. He, much deeper than Roentgen, analyzed the nature and mechanisms of rays and demonstrated their essence on the examples. Ivan Puliui was the world's first radiograph of human skeleton.

25. Immunity, syphilis cure
Ilya Ilyich Mechnikov. He was the scientist, one of the founders of evolutionary embryology, immunology and microbiology. Together with Mykola Gamaliya organized the first scientist in the Russian Empire Odessa bacteriological station (now – Mechnikov’s Odesa Research Institute of Virology and Epidemiology), and in 1886-1887 headed it. During the 1888-1916, he headed the laboratory of Louis Pasteur Institute in Paris. Ilya Mechnikov discovered the phenomenon of phagocytosis and phagocytic theory of immunity created - the foundation of the modern concept of human immunity. In 1908, together with the German immunologist Paul Ehrlich (founder humoral theory of immunity) was awarded the Nobel Prize in medicine and physiology. Ilya Mechnikov first invented the cure for syphilis - calomel ointment (a mixture of mercury, chlorine and lanolin).
26. Vaccines against plague and cholera
Volodymyr Khavkin. Since 1896 has worked in India, where he created the first ever vaccine against plague and cholera. In India have been vaccinated more than 4 million people.
27. Virology School
Leontiy-Lyudomyr Dmohovskyy. He was the discoverer of viral cancers, founder of the school of cancer virology. Consultant Cancer Institute.
28. Anaphylaxis
Olexandr Bezredka. He made researches in Paris. He opened the way local immunization, created the doctrine of receptive cells and anti-virus software, introduced the term - anaphylactic shock.

29. Frozen semen
Igor Smirnov. The first substantiated the possibility of perpetual storage of frozen sperm, with maintaining its fertilizing properties.
30. The liquid jet scalpel
Researchers of Aerospace Institute and the National Aviation University have created a liquid jet scalpel, which does not damage the vascular system during operations on domestic orahanah rights. High pressure when operating the device allows you to remove not-muscle tissue with minimal blood loss.
31. The field kitchen

32. Several Ukrainian inventions
Volodymyr Baranov-Rossine Davidovich - Ukrainian-French avant-garde artist and inventor. Author of patented "optophone" (type of "color" piano) - synthetic tool with key system, which not only creates sounds, but also projects to the screen more than three thousand shades range. Also he developed spotty military camouflage. He also invented fotohronometr, by which determine the quality of gems. Also he perfected a machine that produces soft drinks.

11. Coal combine
Bahmutskiy, Olexiy Ivanovych. Famous inventor and designer of the first world's coal combine.
12. Radar
Hintston Edward Leonard. He admired to research microwaves and designed radar predecessor. During the Second World War, the scientist and his invention came to New York, where, together with scientists from Stanford, began working in "Sperry Hiroskoup Company". Developed by him participation radar installations played a major role in creating the US air defense system. Later E. Hintston invention was used in space communication systems and control planes, artillery systems, telephone and television industries. He headed a group of Stanford physicists who worked on the creation of the world's most powerful particle accelerator, which became the basis of the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.
13. Kinescop
Josyp Tymchenko - a man who two years before the opening of the Lumiere brothers, together with physicist Mykola Lyubymov developed mechanism "snail". Its principle of operation was the basis for the establishment tube. In 1893 in Odessa were shown two films taken with the first tube. Tymchenko ahead of western inventors of cinema, but his device was not patented.

14. The first computer
Mychaylol Kravchuk. He was one of the founders of EOM (electronic computer machines). Kravchuk’s methods were used in the United States, Japan and other countries during the simulation cybernetic technology. American authors widely used Kravchuk’s scientific works during creating the world's first computer.
15. CD
CD prototype was invented in the Kyiv Institute of Cybernetics by graduate student Vyacheslav Petrov in the late 1960s. This development was of a scientific nature and had nothing connected with music. The CD was created for the EOM.
16. Laser LED
Nick Holonyak - was born in 1928 in the US in Ukrainian family. He is an inventor and semiconductor of laser leds. He also owns a patent for a LED light that works in every CD or DVD drive.
17. Internet
Leonard Klyaynrok. One of the "fathers" of the Internet. His batch file transfer theory (L.Klyaynrok, 1961), was taken as the basis for the creation of a computer network for the military.
18. PayPal
Levchyn Maximilian (born 1974 in Kyiv). Co-founder and chief engineer PayPal, vice president of development at Google.
19. IMAX
Roman Croitoru. He was a son of Ukrainian immigrants in Canada. One of the developers of the standard IMAX.
20. Heart surgery
Pidriz (Podryez) Apollinariy Grygyrovych. Surgeon. For the first time in the world performed surgery on a bullet wounded heart (1897).

21. Kidney Transplant
Yurii Voronyi. In 1933 in Kherson made the world's first kidney transplant. It was the first ever attempt to transplant any organ of a person. Recipient lived with a new kidney for 48 hours.
22. Glove EnableTalk for people with disabilities
Glove is designed to translate sign language into words. The device for people with hearing disabilities and speech was developed by Ukrainian students. It looks like two gloves fitted with sensors that track hand position and transmit data to a mobile device.
 

Famous Ukrainian inventors, whom you have never heard. Part 1

Ukrainians are an authors of many important and valuable inventions. Unfortunately, often inventions stay, but the author's real names are forgotten. Also people like to attribute authorship to others. In this article I choose the 32 most interesting inventions, made by Ukrainians.


1. The rocket engine
Sergey Korolyov is the designer of Soviet rocketry and astronautics founder. In 1957 Korolyov launched into orbit the first ever artificial Earth satellite. Under his leadership, the first intercontinental ballistic missile was launched, the first manned flight into space and access into space.
2. Kondratyuk’s Route
Yuri Kondratyuk. An author of the so called "Kondratyuk’s Route", which traveled to the moon spacecraft "Apollo."
3. Flight to the moon
Ihor-Orest Bohachevsky. Scientist. By formula (known as "formula Bohachevsky"), which allowed designers to calculate return the spacecraft to the space station from the surface of another planet. This was calculated flight to the moon, also return to Earth next American spacecraft "Apollo-11".
4. A-bomb
Georgiy (George) Kistyakivskiy. Since 1926 lived in the US. He was Harvard University professor from 1933, member of the American National Academy of Sciences, and later its vice-president. During World War II appointed a member of the American Committee for National Defense (1944-1945). He was one of the creators of the atomic bomb (head of nuclear explosives laboratories at Los Alamos). Since 1957 he was an Advisor to the US President D.Eyzenhauer for national policy and technology.
5. Nuclear Physics
Mykola Pylchykov - inventor of electric phonograph. M. Pylchykov was one of the founders of metrological station in Kharkiv, where he conducted practical studies and own research. In 1899-1900 he, first in the world, performed experimental studies on radioactivity than has launched a new branch of science - nuclear physics. Pylchykov created radioprotectors designed for protection from radio interception.
6. Helicopter
The inventor of the helicopter is Kyiv aircraft, who emigrated to the United States, Igor Sikorsky. In 1931, he patented design machines with two propellers - horizontal roof and vertical tail. The first VS-300 helicopter took to the skies in 1939. Later, based on his VS-300, was created the world's first helicopter-amphibious, that could take off from the water and sit on land. Also Igor Sikorsky was an author of first aircraft giants "Ilya Muromets".
 

7. Electric Tram
In the early 1870s Poltava’s inventor Theodore Pirotskyy created power transmission technology, developed by iron wire. In 1880 he presented project use of electricity "to move trains from the power supply." After a year in Berlin went first tram manufactured by Siemens under the scheme of Pirotskyy.
8. Seaplane
Dmytro Grigorovich. Aircraft. The creator of the first seaplane.
9. Scheme of jet machine
Mykola Kibalchich. Author of scheme the world's first jet aircraft. He drew a scheme, being imprisoned. Later, his schemes were hidden to the archive, and only a few decades after the death of Kibalchich, archives were opened.
10. The fastest car in the world
A project of fastest Soviet car was developed by Kharkiv engineer Volodymyr Nikitin in 1966. This car had scripting helicopter gas turbine engine GTE-350 with capacity of 400 horsepower. During the check car could develop a speed of 320 km / h at a distance of 1 km.

23.    Безкровний аналіз крові
Харківський вчений Анатолій Малихін придумав, як зробити аналіз крові безкровним. Він створив прилад, п’ять датчиків якого прикріплюються на певні ділянки тіла людини, після чого на екран комп’ютера виводиться 131 показник здоров’я. Прилад активно використовується медиками в Китаї, Саудівській Аравії, Німеччини, Єгипті та Мексиці.
24.    Рентген
Українець Іван Пулюй за 14 років до німця Вільгельма Рентгена сконструював трубку, яка згодом стала прообразом сучасних рентгенівських апаратів. Він набагато глибше, ніж Рентген проаналізував природу і механізми виникнення променів, а також на прикладах продемонстрував їх суть. Саме Іван Пулюй першим у світі зробив рентенівський знімок людського скелета.

25.    Імунітет, ліки від сифілісу
Мечников Ілля Ілліч. Науковець, один із засновників еволюційної ембріології, імунології та мікробіології. Разом із Миколою Гамалією учений організував першу в Російській імперії Одеську бактеріологічну станцію (нині — Одеський науково-дослідний інститут вірусології та епідеміології ім. І. І. Мечникова), а в 1886–1887 рр. очолював її. Протягом 1888–1916 рр. завідував лабораторією в Інституті Луї Пастера в Парижі. Ілля Мечников відкрив явище фагоцитозу і створив фагоцитарну теорію імунітету — основу сучасної концепції імунітету людини. У 1908 р. разом із німецьким імунологом Паулем Ерліхом (засновником гуморальної теорії імунітету) “за вивчення імунної системи” був удостоєний Нобелівської премії з медицини та фізіології. Ілля Мечников винайшов перші ліки від сифілісу — каломелеву мазь (суміш ртуті, хлору і ланоліну).
26.    Вакцини проти чуми та холери
Володимир Хавкін. з 1896 року працював в Індії, де створив перші в історії вакцини проти чуми і холери. В Індії було вакциновано понад 4 мільйонів людей.
27.    Школа вірусології
Леонтій-Людомир Дмоховський. Першовідкривач вірусної природи ракових пухлин, основоположник школи онкологічної вірусології. Консультант Інституту раку США.
28.    Анафілактичний шок
Олександр Безредка. Здійснював дослідження у Парижі. Відкрив спосіб місцевої імунізації, створив учення про рецептивні клітини й антивіруси, увів термін — анафілактичний шок.

29.    Заморожена сперма
Ігор Смирнов. Першим обґрунтував можливість вічного зберігання замороженої сперми із збереженням її запліднюючих властивостей.
30.    Рідкий струменевий скальпель
Наукові співробітники Аерокосмічного інституту та Національного авіаційного університету створили рідкий струменевий скальпель, який не пошкоджує судинну систему при проведенні операцій на внутрішніх ораганах людини. Високий тиск при роботі апарату дозволяє видаляти нем’язові тканини з мінімальною крововтратою.
31.    Польова кухня
Антон Турчанович. Винахідник польової кухні - спеціальний транспортний засіб або причеп, призначений для приготування їжі та організації харчування особового складу формувань, у польових (похідних) умовах, на віддалених об'єктах, в підрозділах та військових частинах, де відсутні стаціонарні об'єкти для приготування їжі.
32.    Кілька винаходів українця
Баранов-Россіне Володимир Давидович — українсько-французький авангардний художник, винахідник. Автор запатентованого ним “оптофону” (тип “колірного” фортепіано) — синестетичного інструмента з системою клавіш, який не тільки створює звуки, а й проектує на екран більше трьох тисяч відтінків спектру, розробив плямистий військовий камуфляж. Він також винайшов фотохронометр, за допомогою якого визначають якість дорогоцінних каменів, та удосконалив машину, що виготовляє газовані напої.
